I lost my glasses into the Caribbean Sea. Being without spares, I realized how poor my vision was and my dependence on glasses. I decided it was time for LASIK. Immediately after the procedure, I discovered what I had been missing for over twenty plus years. It was evident in being in a classroom or any public area, the distinct differences of color, depth, and vividness of objects. The clarity in my sight literally gave me a new perspective of every place I could see. In my second week, I still find myself saying--WOW! I am thankful for that gust of wind in Aruba that swept my glasses into the sea.
